Waldorf May Faire

..

This was the weekend of our nearby Waldorf school's much anticipated May Faire. We have been attending festivals at this sweet little school for several years now, it is a place we all love to be.

When it was time to dance around the May Pole Chloe became suddenly too shy to participate, (this has never happened before) which brought tears to Chessa's eyes, until I brought her over to a friend who was happy to lead her along.

She never let go of her hand.

I see Chessa really thrive here.

She is brave,
happy,
and content.

Chloe dreams of being a kindergarten teacher here when she grows up. (We often dream of moving over to this smaller town...)

How excited the girls were when at the end of the day dear Miss Polly asked if they would like to help set the kindergarten room back to order!

And then there was time for a story outside beneath the trees.

Such a lovely day!

The next day we headed into the forest, so I have many more pictures to share with you this week...

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!!

Oh the shyness attacks, they just come out of no where sometimes, don't they?! What a beautiful time!
I miss you so much Renee!! I need to call you (I am buried in e-mails and may never make it back out!) <3 <3 Sending you all my love!

Dear Renee...This seems like such a lovely day! We also look forward to our closest Waldorf school's May Day celebration (at the end of May!) and have often thought of moving closer. But there is so much for us here...Your girls look so happy. As always, I love their clothes. And would you believe I've spent the last two days sewing and re-sewing a sun bonnet for my wee girl! I love sun bonnets! I think I may have told you that already. I look forward to more pictures...and happy mama's day to you:)

Dear Renee, I wish we had gone to our local (far away) Waldorf school for the May faire- we ended up too busy at home! This looks like a lovely, lovely day! Ella often suddenly becomes too shy to participate in some things- often preferring to sit and watch. She's a watcher from waaay back!
And of course, another thing Chloe and Ella have in common: Ella also wants to teach children, only she wants to teach Suzuki violin to small children. :)
