Waldorf 5th Grade - Botany (and...)

..

Here are just a few more of Chloe's lesson book pictures from our first Botany block...

~ Title page of main lesson book

~ Parts of the flower

~ Mushrooms and Fungi

And cute little elves in the ferns!

We are now finishing up our first geography block (I will obviously be behind on pictures, but am impressed that I am managing to get any of them posted at all...) and next week we will begin our first Ancient Mythologies block with India. That is probably as far as we will get before we take a break in mid December for the winter holidays.

We just had 3 days with no internet connection, which was mostly really nice (really really really nice!) but also a little inconvenient (but only because of Little Sprouts closing and having orders to ship, fairly unfortunate timing...)
Really though, no computer, pretty nice!
I knit lots. Lots lots lots!
And now I am going to go knit some more...

Well wishes and happiness to all...

Well wishes to you, dear Renee...Chloe's Main Lesson Book is so beautiful! It inspires me so much to see her work. I also love the elves frolicking amidst the plants. Wishing you cozy nights, knitting by the fire.

Dear Renee,
My daughter who is 7 and I enjoy so much your blogs. She is always saying that if she lived closer to your girls...she would want to be friends. Thanks for having such an inspiring blog. I really enjoy seeing your homeschooling posts. Thanks. Maria Weinert

Dear Renee, such beautiful work as always! When I begin botany in the spring, I will probably plague you with questions!
I hope our Donna Simmons book comes this week, then perhaps I can begin next week too. Ella is very very eager! This the girl who wasn't interested in it earlier. . .. I guess something happened in her as she got older. I guess the wisdom of waldorf really does have purpose. . .

Hello friend,, how are you? The girls work are beautiful, their drawings and handwriting so neat. So you finally completed your cardigan, I love it, it's very pretty. A crafty mama indeed. How are the precious little angels? I'm sure you are all bundled up in front of the fire. We have just had a few days of cool weather, only in the evenings though. The boys are still swimming. Such a different life huh. Let me know how you are, I'm 2 months now.. nausea is trying. Sending you all much love and kissesxxx
