first, summer good-bye...

..

It was an interesting summer. It was very rainy, that was very nice. But my pregnancy pukiness never went away, that wasn't nice. And it doesn't feel like there were enough flowers. Still it was beautiful.

(And oh yes, there is a garden. But I haven't much wanted to talk about it. Last year we grew enough vegetables to eat abundantly from the garden all season, with enough put away to get us through the winter as well. This year, well, I have been focusing my energies on growing this baby, and that is good, and there is always next year for more of a garden.)

(And the potatoes sure are looking great, and the collards are so yummy.)

Now we have said good-bye and begin a new season...

I found your blog through ourashgrove's blog. I love your garden pictures. It is so nice to be able to share them with our children. The summer is still strong down in the south here, and I miss the north and the fall; as I just moved here from the NE. Enjoy it and all the colors it brings!

So glad to see you back and bouncy! You must be getting excited now about your soon to be arrival...... and you are so right - the lack of garden produce is only a small drop in the ocean of important things!
Enjoy, enjoy, the next few months of growing round and fecund - who needs a garden when it's all happening within?!!

Mmm... collards! Oh how I miss them! I wasn't able to get any veg growing this year in rainy England. I'm hoping for more luck next summer, too.

I'm sorry to hear you're still feeling puky. Sending all my good thoughts your way! xo

Good morning sweet Renee,
I also did very little last summer when I was pregnant with Emmy - energy returns, but it was all so worthwhile - my only wish was that I was easier on myself as you must be.
Happy Autumn to all of you,
Tonya

Hello dear friend....hello! hello! hello! Oh, I miss you! I've been so busy and out of touch and I'm sorry for that. But, it is always so lovely to see your girls. What beauties! And garden woes, well, this was my lamest gardening season ever. I have no good excuse, but even when pregnant I had more productivity. Maybe it is all the energy into homeschooling? I'm not sure. Many hugs, friend. And belly rubs, of course!
