forest wandering...

Our weekend was filled with lots of nice summer-ness, including a wonderful Sunday wandering in the forest.

Would you like to see where we wandered? There are way too many pictures, so I'll skip the words...

And then a picnic dinner beside the lake before we finished the short drive home.

Looking at these photographs this evening I am filled with such wonder and gratitude that we get to live in this amazing place. (It still amazes me even after 15 years...)

I hope your weekend wanderings brought you to your own place of beauty!

  1. Hi Renee
Your forest is full of splendour. To explore by the stream and to dream and to listen to the stories of the stream -- a perfect time. How many special memories you have created by the lake too. I can see why you remain full of wonder and gratitude - you really live in such a beautiful place and I can see why you and your family want to stay there always.
    Best wishes

  5. That really is a wonderful place to wander! Your photos are so pretty. We didn't wander much this weekend, but watched a great ball game and finally put some of the wall-decorations back up after doing some painting, it feels so good to have that done.

  8. Beautiful pictures.

My daughter was standing here looking at the pictures with me and she said "ohh look Mummy! Laura and Mary are playing by the river! Where's Jack?!"

What pattern did you use for your bonnets? My daughter would love one of those.

We've been wandering mountains (and rivers too) as a salve for this heat wave.

  17. These photos are just amazing! You really do live in a majestic setting. We try to get outside everyday, but it is hot and humid in Florida in the summer. So jealous! :)
