winter lake

 ..

"If it's not snowy then winter's just cold and brown", said an observant nine year old girl recently…

But a winter lake is beautiful in just about every way possible…

The girls wandered through the trees and along the waters' icy shore.

I chased the sun into the aspen grove…

And stood knitting as the light faded…

And we will return soon...
