~ Sewing Bee ~

..

Remember how excited I was about Julia's Sewing Bee? And then there was that incident, which I don't really like to mention anymore, (called the flu) and my poor little quilt sat neglected for much too long.

This past week I finally got to bring my squares back out. I had previously arranged them in satisfactory order, and carefully stacked them so that I would still know their order, but when I picked them up the other day I could not at all recall what I had intended to do with them! So I started over...

Here they are, squares sewed into pairs, and shortly after I got them sewn into their horizontal rows. I thought I was going to get a lot of sewing done today, but instead I got a lot of cooking and baking done and just a little bit of sewing.

I will always gladly take any small sewing moments I can get!

Sewing moments are so very important. And it is true that the number of those moments sometimes only needs to be a few.
I love the layout of the quilt...the colors too.

That's funny, Renee, because that always seems to happen to me. I have grand plans for a project, stash it away ever so carefully, and when I pull it out again, it's a jumbled mess of confusion! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love love your colours and prints. Happy sewing!

So pretty! Auri really wants to start a quilt. She just bought fabric to make dolls and dresses, and when she's done I think we may move on to quilting.:o)

The prints and colours are GORGEOUS! Serene and warm. I look forward to seeing the quilt grow, bit by loving bit :-)

Oh my goodness Renee, I know just what you're talking about: arranging the squares just so, putting them carefully away (positive you'll remember the correct order!) and then taking them out, only to be clueless as to the original plan. ..
I love your colors!

So very pretty my friend - a beautiful sewing project indeed. So nice to hear Jason is spending much time with the horses, how they can liven our days!! I can't be without them and that's why I don't get much time for sewing. Kisses and love to you all.xxx
