Hello friends. I thought I would share some random photos taken while I wandered about the house one day last week...
Bee and honey. This was all Chessa's idea, a craft she thought up for herself. She put yellow wool in jar, drew a little bee on paper and cut it out, attached bee to string and suspended it in the jar by closing the lid on the string. I though it was cute.
Hollyhocks are blooming. And finding their way indoors, usually floating in a bowl or basin of water. The girls have also been making dyes from the petals, which they then use to dye little fabric squares for their dolls.
Little girl dressed up as a knight.
Little girl's playstand fort.
Inside little girl's special space.
Little girl's special friends.
Pasture and stable for the animals.
Little girl's clever wagon for the family.
Another family traveling about.
Building materials of the very best kind.
Chloe's handsewing. Her dolls are opening a little shop. She is making a pinafore :)
Mama's sewing.
Art. Often.
Sometimes it's a castle, sometimes it's a village, or a town...
The beauty of wet-on-wet watercolor painting. Chessa's paintings always feel so alive to me.
(We have still been not at all consistent with our paintings days. I really hope to do more during this coming school year.)
Girl with glue on her face. (If you looked closely you could see...)
Girl loving kitty cat.
And suddenly I realized how it was that I ended up walking around the house taking pictures. Because really I was going to sit down to knit, but then discovered this big orange cat in the chair...
Hope you are all enjoying happy days in your home!

Renee, How fun to accompany you on a walkabout your home. Clever Chessa with her honeybee. Love it! And the little girl knight is welcome to play here with our big boy knight (oh, and little girl knight and baby knight...we are knight happy here!)!! Have a beautiful week!

Beautiful shots, Renee! Oh those rascal cats...I swear they know when and where we are going to finally sit down...
Renee, I so love this post, these everyday home posts! Your beautiful girls are so lucky to have such a wonderful, calming, inviting play environment!
A few weeks ago the children borrowed a book about bees from the library, and went about playing beekeeper with roving stuffed into jars for honey!
Wow, would I ever love to visit your home! Lots of lovely everywhere.
Renee, recently I found your wonderful blog.
I like the way you and your family live.
In Germany, where we are, homeschooling is forbidden and I feel often sad about this, because Waldorf homeschooling would be ours with the whole heart.
love and light to you.
i really like all the lovely, simple, toys. great motivation to clean out our stash!

Lovely look around your home. Your girls are gorgeous. My girls went to a Steiner (Waldorf) School and I taught there for 6 yrs. We are also Biodynamic farmers here in Australia. To me your post really are the essence of Steiner. Beautiful!
love the spaces that little ones create :) also, how clever are your girls with that beeswax (correct?) gate on the stable!
beautiful , I just love the bees and honey:)
Looks like a fun house full of creativity!
Beautiful little paper town and I love that cart! Did you make it?
Hello,
I found your blog through Nicole at Frontier Dreams. I love your work, especially the sewing you do for your girls. I was wondering if you make up your own patterns or if not would you mind sharing some of your resources? I have just started sewing for my daughters and I love the style of the items you create for your girls.
Thank you!
Beautiful photos!Your play areas are so sweet and nurturing!
Hello mama, I certainly missed many of your posts. So nice to catch up. I can't believe how big your cabbages and broccoli are. They were all so teeny when i saw them. I see the little felted doll I made, she looks precious next to her little bee garden. Beautiful photos... I miss them. I think it's wonderful that you will study along with Rick,, I can' t wait to hear about it. I wish I had the time to do it. Love to you sweet friend.xxx
Looks like a great walk around the house. I find myself doing the same thing sometimes. Though today I really must stop blogging and get some cleaning done!
Aww, what wonderful paper crafting! I love how that castle (or town?) is colored and then cut out and created--such engineering!
I love all of these sweet glimpses around your home.. all the little play areas. And what a sweet knight she makes!
