Snowy May

Freezing cold first days of May, icy snow falling, the hawthorn is certainly not blooming. The only flowers were the teeny tiny beeswax ones made at the table during a quiet crafting afternoon. We tried to make the best of the cozy days.

I wondered why our "not local Waldorf School" is not having their May Faire until the 23rd. Now I know. Brrrr!!! In this post from last year, my very first one actually, you can get a small peek at Chessa joining in with the May festivities.

Looking forward to seeing the beautiful May Day images everyone else is sharing.

Surely now warmer days will be coming!

our may faire is the same day! the farmer's almanac said this past weekend would be *unseasonably cold*. i don't think 80 degrees qualifies as such. alas, the gal scheduling the festival didn't want to take any chances as we did get a bit of rain last year (though i didn't mind personally!).

sorry i missed your call the other night. i would love to talk soon. things are challenging here on the personal front so i can't promise how perky i'll be. ;) it's always nice to hear your voice though and we haven't caught up in so long!

love to you and happy may!

Sending warmth your way! I am glad your May day celebration is still being held and that you will have this to look forward to! I just posted our day at the local Waldorf school. Lots of love and peace to you xoxo

Our May Day is next week. It has been known to snow here in early May so we wait or warmer weather. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town this year and will miss our lovely May Fair.

What a beautiful picture! Here in Michigan, although our May Day was sunny, our terrain is very flat; can't have it all, I guess.

Our Waldorf School's May Day Faire will be on Friday; I've got my fingers crosses for good picnic weather...

I was thinking about you last weekend Renee, because we have 6 inches of snow here, and I wondered what it looked like up there. Hope the thaw comes quickly, and these next weeks of May are a bit warmer

Everything is in bloom here, and now we're heading back into freezing weather. Who knew May could be so unpredictable!

May! Is it unusual for you to be getting that type of weather in May? Our weather is definitely warmer than usual, but I really had no idea, how north we are, that we got so much warmer quicker. Thinking warm thoguhts for your side of the village.
